Mille , AICP,Planner �r� <br /> SUBJECT: Annexation of the premises commonly known as 2574 East Finch Drive ' <br /> A valid petition seeking annexation of the subject premises has been filed with the City Clerk's <br /> Office. Containing 0.50 acres, the area in question is currently developed with a single family I <br /> dwelling. The reason for requesting annexation is to obtain city water to serve the existing <br /> dwelling. The surrounding area is zoned R-1 Single Family Residence District and R-6 Multiple <br /> Dwelling Residence District; when annexed the area will come into the city as R-1 Single Family , <br /> Residence District. <br /> The following information is relative to the areas in question: � <br /> 1. The parcel contains a single family structures. <br /> 2. City water is located adjacent to the tracts at Finch Drive. ��� <br /> 3. The existing residence is served by an individual septic system I� <br /> approved by the Public Health Department. The area is not served �I <br /> by sanitary sewer. I <br /> 4. The average fire response time is 6 minutes. Hickory Point is the Fire I <br /> Protection District. � <br /> 5. Finch Drive is asphalt construction and seal treated and is currently maintained � <br /> jointly by the Township and the City of Decatur. <br /> 6. Additional annual revenue of approximately$361.66 would become available <br /> frmh <br /> o t e combmed total real estate($162.28), motor fuel ($87.28) and state <br /> income taxes ($112.38) from the property. <br /> Staff is of the opinion that the proposed annexation would produce a logical extension of the <br /> corporate limits; staff recommends approval of the petition as presented. <br />
