Mil er,AICP,Planner I <br /> SUBJECT: Annexation of Surrounded Area: I <br /> 2228,2242,2270,2284,2298,2312,2326,2424,2438 East Finch Drive, ' <br /> 2207,2241,2323,2375 East Mound Road � <br /> Final action to annex parcels of land which are surrounded by the corporate limits is scheduled <br /> for action (Monday, September 18, 2000). The appropriate ordinance to annex these parcels was <br /> received and placed on file by the City Council on Monday, August 21. The property owners <br /> were notified of the proposed annexation action. <br /> The following information is relative to the areas in question: <br /> 1. The parcel contains eight single family structures and nine vacant lots. <br /> 2. City water is located adjacent to the tracts at Finch Drive and Mound Road. <br /> 3. The area is not served by sanitary sewer. <br /> 4. The average fire response time is 6 minutes. Hickory Point is the <br /> Fire Protection District. <br /> 5. Finch Drive is asphalt construction and seal treated and is currently <br /> maintained by jointly by the Township and the City of Decatur. <br /> Mound Road is asphalt construction and maintained by the Macon County <br /> Highway Department. <br /> 6. Additional annual revenue of approximately$2513 would become available <br /> from the combined total real estate,motor fuel and state income taxes from <br /> the eight occupied properties. <br /> The total area of the parcels is 10.6 acres. The surrounding area is zoned R-1 Single Family <br /> Residence District R-6 Multiple Dwelling Residence District; when annexed the area will come <br /> into the city as R-1 Single Family Residence District.
