/r . <br /> CHAPTER 56.2 <br /> CURBSIDE LEAF VACUUMING <br /> 1. DEFINITIONS. As used in this Chapter, unless the context requires otherwise, the <br /> singular shall include the plural and the plural shall include the singular, and the following <br /> phrases shall mean: ��� <br /> Curbside leaf vacuuming and disposal (ar. "leaf vacuumin�"): Sweeping or I� <br /> raking into a street those leaves properly deposited adjacent thereto by the resident(s) thereof, <br /> then vacuuming said leaves into the collection vehicle and depositing them at a location <br /> approved by the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency ("IEPA"). <br /> Dwellin�: Any occupied single family residence and any occupied multifamily <br /> residence containing not more than six units, provided that each occupied unit in a multifamily <br /> residence shall be considered one dwelling. <br /> Leaf Vacuumin� Pro,gram: A comprehensive program in which citizens are <br /> provided with the opportunity to have leaves vacuumed and collected from their dwellings. <br /> 2. LEAF VACUUMING PROGRAM. The City Manager may, by appropriate action, <br /> institute a leaf vacuuming program for the City of Decatur, subject to Council authorization as <br /> required herein. <br /> 3. LEAF VACUUMING CONTRACT. The City may, by action of the Council, <br /> contract with, or authorize a contract with, any person, firm or corporation for the vacuuming <br /> and collection of leaves from all dwellings within the City pursuant to a leaf vacuuming <br /> program. <br /> EXHIBIT A ; <br />
