Kriege , Assistant City Manager <br /> Max Forge , AICP, Senior Planne <br /> SUBJECT: Ordinance Rezoning Property in the 800 Block West McKinley Avenue <br /> The petitioner proposes to rezone a 2.04-acre parcel on the south side of McKinley Avenue <br /> between Oakland Avenue and Monroe Street from R-1, Single Family Residential, to R-6, <br /> Multi-family Residential. The property is illustrated on the Future Land Use Map, a component <br /> of the Decatur comprehensive plan, as High Density Residential. There is multiple family <br /> development to the east and across the street to the north. There is R-1 zoning to the south and <br /> west. This is a relatively large tract of land; the proposed use is generally consistent with land <br /> uses in the neighborhood. <br /> Staff recommends approval of this petition as proposed. <br />
