Containing 0.32 acres, the area in question is currently developed with a single family
dwelling. The reason for requesting annexation is to obtain city water to serve the existing
dwelling. The adjacent areas are zoned R-1 and R-3 Single Family Residence District; annexed
territory is automatically zoned R-1.
The following information is relative to the site in question:
1. The existing residence is served by an individual septic system
approved by the Public Health Department. The sanitary sewer is
available. There are no current plans to connect to sewers.
3. The streets are asphalt construction and maintained by the City of
Decatur up to the DAV Hall; there is adequate street lighting.
4. The average fire response time is 8 minutes.
