Mil r, AICP, Planner
SUBJECT: Annexation of premises commonly known as 1475 North Sunnyside Road
A valid petition seeking annexation of the subject premises has been filed with the City Clerk's
Office. Containing 0.47 acres, the area in question is currently developed with a single family
dwelling. The reason for requesting annexation is to obtain city water to serve the existing
dwelling. The adjacent area is zoned R-1 Single Family Residence District; annexed territory is
automatically zoned R-l.
, The following information is relative to the site in question:
1. City water is available and located adjacent to the lot at Sunnyside Road;
service is readily available.
2. The existing residence is served by an individual septic system
approved by the Public Health Department. The sanitary sewer is
not readily available. There are no current plans to connect to sewers.
3. The streets are asphalt construction.
4. The average fire response time is 8 minutes.
5. Additional annual revenue of approximately$580 would become available
from the combined total real estate, motor fuel and state income taxes.
Staff is of the opinion that the proposed annexation would produce a logical extension of the
corporate limits; staff recommends approval of the petition as presented.
