' .
Excerpts from Plan Commission Minutes of April 6, 2000
Cal. No. 00-22 Petition of HUSTON PATTERSON to vacate a portion of the alley I
located south of East North Street between North Main Street and
North Church Street.
Mrs. Bridget Hogan, Attorney, was present and spoke for the petition representing Huston
Patterson. Mrs. Hogan stated that the petition is to vacate a portion of an alley closed in 1991.
The alley runs between two buildings owned by Huston Patterson. Mrs. Hogan stated that the
purpose of the alley vacation is to accommodate a new building which would require a fire wall.
Ownership of the alley way would then be with Huston Patterson and not the City of Decatur.
It was noted that the drawing which indicated that the alley way had been previously vacated was •
incorrect.
There were no objectors present.
Mr. Forgey stated that staff recommended approval.
It was moved and seconded (Smith/Jacobs)to forward Cal. No. 00-22 to City Council with
recommendation for approval. Motion carried unanimously.
