Item Coversheet Page 1 of 1 <br /> � <br /> Police Department <br /> DATE: 2/10/2016 <br /> MEMO: 16-16 <br /> TO: Honorable Mayor Julie Moore Wolfe <br /> Decatur City Council Members <br /> FROM: Timothy A.Gleason,City Manager <br /> James E.Getz,Interim Chief of Police <br /> SUBJECT: SunGard Interface for the DigiTicket Electronic Ticketing Solution Software <br /> SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: The Decatur Police Department recommends executing an Agreement for the Purchase of <br /> the SunGard Interface for the DigiTicket Electronic Ticketing Solution Software by Saltus Technologies. <br /> BACKGROUND: <br /> The agreement is with SunGard Public Sector,which is the vendor for our current Records Management System.This agreement <br /> will allow for the creation of an interface for the electronic importation of the Citations written in the Saltus DigiTicket System to <br /> the SunGard Records Management System at a total cost of$18,095.00. Utilizing DigiTicket with the SunGard Interface will <br /> reduce human error and cut approximately eight hours per week of data entry by the Decatur Police Department's Records Unit <br /> personnel. <br /> The agreement is between the Decatur Police Department,the Macon County SherifPs Office and the Mt.Zion Police Department <br /> to share the cost of the SunGard Public Sector interface expenses.
