People often <br /> have to park on the side of the street, and the speeds of the vehicles passing by are high. <br /> Moore asked if the buses have trouble navigating the parked cars when they go along the street. <br /> He wonders if there is any way to deter buses from coming down this street. <br /> Newell stated that there is one-way traffic all the way around Johns Hill School, so that is why <br /> buses have to use this street. <br /> Moore knows that traffic speeds are high on this street and would be in favor of a 4-way stop due <br /> to the visibility which makes this action necessary. <br /> Nordholm agrees that the 4-way stop would serve the school and the neighborhood. He does not <br /> know if crossing guards are used, but he noticed one was there today. One of the things that can <br /> happen with stop signs is a false sense of security where someone expects a car to stop when it <br /> does not. He is in support of the 4-way stop. <br /> Sober is in favor as well. <br /> Brown noticed there is a big discrepancy with the traffic counts north and south of the <br /> intersection. He would recommend the stop be installed as well. <br /> It was moved and seconded (Moore / Sober) to install a 4-way stop at the intersection of Webster <br /> and Clay Streets. There being no one opposed,the motion carried. <br /> Moore suggested that crossing guards are still necessary because people will run through a stop <br /> intersection. <br />
