I <br /> i E�i <br /> SUBJECT: Authorization to Increase Recycling Service Charge II, <br /> Staff requests the authorization of Council to amend the recycling service charge from$1.25 to <br /> $1.40. <br /> Council had authorized City Manager to negotiate an agreement with Suburban Disposal and <br /> Recycling, the company that has been awarded the new recycling contract, on August 2, 1999. <br /> Under terms of the new recycling agreement, the Contractor will charge the City a recycling <br /> service fee of$1.40 for monthly collection from each residential unit in the recycling program. <br /> Currently, the City pays the contractor$1.25 for monthly collection. This fee is levied on to the <br /> water bill. <br /> Staff recommends amending the ordinance increasing the service charge from$1.25 to $1.40 per <br /> month and levying it on to the water bill. <br />
