ORDINANCE NO. 2016-13 <br /> ORDINANCE AMENDING CITY CODE <br /> - CHAPTER 34—SECTION 32 <br /> -TRAFFIC— <br /> BE IT ORDAINED, BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, <br /> ILLINOIS: <br /> Section 1. That Chapter 34 of the City Code of the City of Decatur, Illinois, be, and the same is <br /> hereby modified and amended by amending section 32, so that Section 32 as so modified and <br /> amended, shall provide as follows: <br /> 32. PROHIBITED PARKING SPACES. <br /> No person shall stop, stand or park any vehicle at any time in any of the following places, <br /> except when necessary to avoid conflict with other traffic, when an emergency exists, or in <br /> compliance with the directions of a police officer or traffic-control device: <br /> A. On a sidewalk or parkway; <br /> B. In front of a public or private driveway; <br /> C. On a crosswalk; <br /> D. Within an intersection; <br /> E. Within twenty(20) feet of any intersection or crosswalk; <br /> F. Within thiriy(30) feet of the approach to any flashing signal, stop sign,yield sign, or <br /> traffic- control signal located at the side of a roadway; <br /> G. Within twenty-five(25) feet of the intersection of any alley with any street; <br /> H. In an alley except during the actual loading and unloading of goods, supplies and <br /> merchandise; <br /> I. On any railroad tracks; <br /> J. Within fifty(50) feet of the nearest rail of a railroad grade crossing; <br /> K. Alongside or opposite any street excavation or obstruction when such parking would <br /> obstruct traffic; <br /> L. On the roadway side of any vehicle parked at the edge of curb of a street; <br />
