Willi r., City Manger � <br /> Cecil A. Collins, irector of Community Development � <br /> William Turner, Building Inspection Supervisort� <br /> SUBJECT: Ordinance Amending Enterprise Zone Boundary <br /> Enclosed for your consideration is an ordinance that amends the Enterprise Zone boundary. <br /> Approval of this boundary amendment will extend the Enterprise Zone benefits to 829 West <br /> McKinley. <br /> The proposed project is the construction of an assisted living center located at 829 West <br /> McKinley. The project is expected to provide 12 - 15 employment opportunities for Decatur <br /> citizens as well as the construction jobs and materials which are purchased in the corporate limits. <br /> Construction costs are estimated to be around $2,500,000. <br /> The building will house approximately 50 tenants in the 34,000 square foot building. The residents <br /> are those who want to remain somewhat independent but need assistance in everyday living tasks. <br /> Passage of the ordinance will permit the applications to be submitted to the State of Illinois for <br /> approval. Staffwill be present to answer any questions. <br />
