. , I �; � � , BOOK 2 � � � PAG� � b � � � 151856 �."a"�"�°" � '"'"`'' 3 �c«�r c«�r�, - � R�oo►e nt�'3U P�M For J U L 2 0 1999 ORDINANCE NO. 99-C)6 Recorded in Book 2.,,�„ Pepe,,,,�_ �� Fee __ ____ acorder AN ORDINANCE VACATING PORTION OF A STREET -NORTH UNION STREET- -BETWEEN NORTH RIGHT OF WAY LINE OF MCHINLEY AVENUE AND SOUTH RIGHT OF WAY LINE OF PYTffiAN AVENUE- WHEREAS, a request has been received from Decatur Memorial Hospital, the owner of the property abutting thereon requesting vacation of a portion of a street in the City of Decatur, Illinois, said portion of street being commonly l�own as North Union Street and said portion of said street being more particularly described as follows: Beginning at a point 30 feet North of and 50 feet east of the Southwest corner of the Southeast 1/4 of the Northeast 1/4 of Section 3, Township 16, Range 2 East of the 3rd P.M., said point also being the intersection of the North ROW line of McKinley Avenue and the East ROW line of North Union Street,thence North 50 feet East of and parallel to the West line of the Southeast 1/4 of the Northeast 1/4 of said Section 3, Township 16, Range 2 East of the 3rd_P.M. to the South ROW line of Pyythian Avenue, thence West 100 feet to the West ROW line of North Union Street, thence South and 50 feet West of and parallel to the West line of the Southeast 1/4 of the Northeast 1/4 of said Section 3, Township 16, Range 2 East of the 3rd P.M., to the North ROW line of McKinley Avenue, thence East 100 feet to the point of beginning; and, WHEREAS, said portion of said street is no longer useful to the public or to the City and the public interest will be subserved by vacating said portion of said street and the public will be relieved from any further burden or responsibility for opening, improving or maintaining said portion of said street. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS:
