Turner Buil ' In 'ons Su rvi <br /> � �$ �1 Pe �� <br /> SUBJECT: City of Decatur Code Chapters 25, 27 and 69 <br /> Attached are the proposed changes for Chapters 25, 27 and 69 of the City of Decatur Code. the <br /> changes all relate to the Electrical Commission and the Electrical Code. <br /> The Proposed Changes are: <br /> Chapter 25.4 <br /> The City will require a licensing bond from an electrical contractor rather than the <br /> liability insurance as previously required. This is being instituted to assure <br /> completion of a project. <br /> Chapter 25.7 <br /> This proposal clarifies the requirements for testing for an Electrician License. <br /> Chapter 25.9 <br /> Specifies a public hearing process and cause for license revocation. <br /> _ , <br /> Chapter 25.10 <br /> Changes in wording of Commission member requirements, adds the Chief <br /> of the Fire department or his representative to the Commission and changes the <br /> expiration date of the Commission members. <br /> Chapter 25.11 <br /> Establishes officers for the Commission, places the Commission Chairperson on <br /> the Construction and Housing Board of Appeals and redefines the responsibilities <br /> of the Commission. <br />
