' ' Chapter 25 � <br /> 4. APPLICATION FEE. Any partnership, corporation or individual desiring a license <br /> as an Electrical Contractor in the City of Decatur shall make application for the same on an <br /> application prescribed and provided by the Community Development Inspections Division which <br /> shall be accompanied by payment fee of Fifty Dollars ($50.00). Effective July 1, 1999 and <br /> annually thereafter on January 1 of each year, applicants shall provide to the City of Decatur <br /> evidence of license bond in the amount of Ten Thousand Dollars ($10,000). Failure to complete <br /> any electrical installation, or obtain a satisfactory final inspection, would be cause for the City to <br /> contact the bonding company to satisfactorily complete the work. Any individual desiring a <br /> license as an Electrician shall make application for the same on an application prescribed and <br /> provided by the Community Development Inspections Division which application shall be <br /> accompanied by the payment of a non-refundable examination fee of Fifty Dollars ($50.00) <br /> 5. EXAMINATION. Before a license as an Electrician shall be issued to an applicant, <br /> he shall, following reasonable advance notice, present himself for examination by the Electrical <br /> Commission of the City of Decatur, Illinois, and shall successfully pass such examination with a <br /> grade of not less than 75%. <br /> 6. CONTENT OF EXAMINATION (ELECTRICIAN). The Commission shall, by <br /> written examination, examine each applicant as to his practical knowledge of the installation, <br /> safe construction, alteration, testing, maintenance and servicing of electrical equipment and <br /> provisions of this Chapter and such applicable national codes and standards as may be applicable <br /> to the work of an electrician. <br /> 7. QUALIFICATIONS OF APPLICANT (ELECTRICIAN). Each applicant shall be <br /> at least 21 years of age and shall show proof of not less than four years practical experience in the <br /> field of electrical construction for power, light, and/or heat, under the direction of a licensed <br />
