COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT MEMORANDUM
No. 99-46
March 10, 1999
TO: Honorable Mayor T M. Howley and City Council Members
FROM: James L. Williams, ., ity M ager
Cecil A. Collins, Jr., Director y}p
`
Kathy J. Miller, Planner -
SUBJECT: Annexation of premises commonly known as 34 Tennison Court
A valid petition requesting annexation of the subject premises has been filed with the City Clerk's
Office. Containing 1.34 acres, the area in question is presently vacant. The main reason for
requesting annexation is to obtain city water to serve the future dwelling.
The following data has been compiled relative to the proposed annexation:
1. An ecisting watermain is located along Tennison Court adjacent to the
subject tract; service is readily available.
2. The residence will be served by an individual septic system; currently there I
are no plans for sanitary sewers in this area.
3. Additional annual revenue is unknown as the area is currently undeveloped. I
Staff is of the opinion that the proposed annexation would produce a logical extension of the
corporate limits.
Staff recommends approval of the petition as presented.
