' COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT MEMORANDUM
No. 99-45
March 10, 1999
TO: Honorable Mayor T ry M. Howley and City Council Members
FROM: James L. Willia , , ity M nager
Cecil A. Collins, ., Director
Kathy J. Miller, Planner -

SUBJECT: Annexation of premises commonly known as 4193 North Neely Avenue
A valid petition requesting annexation of the subject premises has been filed with the City Clerk's
Office. Containing .57 acres, the area in question is presently developed with a single family
dwelling. The main reason for requesting annexation is to access city Home Improvement
funding to serve the existing dwelling.
The following data has been compiled relative to the proposed annexation:
l. An existing watermain is located along Neely Drive adjacent to Stevenson School;
Currently there are no plans to eend service north.
2. The esting residence is served by an individual septic system; currently there
are no plans for sanitary sewers in this area.
3. Additional annual revenue of approximately $423 would become
available from the combined total of real estate, motor fuel, and state
income taxes.
Staff is of the opinion that the proposed annexation would produce a logical eension of the
corporate limits.
Staff recommends approval of the petition as presented.
