Williams� r., City Manager <br /> Rolanda Johnson, Assistant City Manager � <br /> Gerard J. Bauer, Human Resources Manager� <br /> SUBJECT: Revisions to Cit_y Code Chapter 7 <br /> Attached please find an ordinance revising Chapter 7, Section 2, of the City Code of the <br /> City of Decatur, as well as a memorandum from Police Chief, Michael Mowen, explaining the <br /> rationale for proposing the first of these changes. The revisions are as follows: <br /> Addition of the job title Systems Administrator - please see the attached memorandum <br /> from Chief Mowen for an explanation of this new position; <br /> Addition of the job title of Water Production Operations Supervisor - this new <br />� position was informally approved by City Council at study session on January 19, 1999; <br /> it is proposed as a means of improving the efficiency of the Water Production Division; <br /> Replacement of the job title Solid Waste Coordinator with that of Environmental <br /> Planner - this position in Community Development was retitled when additional duties � <br /> were added to the position description; and �, <br /> Addition of the job title Neighborhood Planner - this is one of the presently authorized , <br /> Planner positions in the Community Development Department, renamed to better reflect � <br /> the current responsibilities of the position. '� <br /> All of these revisions are being proposed in order to align City Code with current II <br /> management position descriptions, as approved by the City Manager.
