ORDINANCE N0. 98-80 <br /> AN E DESIGNATING FOUR-WAY STOP INTERSECTIONS I' <br /> ORDIN C <br /> -LEAFLAND AVENUE AND LOWBER STREET - ', <br /> -LEAFLAND AVENUE AND CHARLES STREET - �� <br /> BE IT ORDAINED, BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS: <br /> Section 1. That the intersections of Leafland Avenue and Lowber Street and Leafland Avenue I <br /> and Charles Street in the City of Decatur, Illinois, be, and the same are hereby, designated and <br /> established as four-way stop intersections. <br /> Section 2. That when appropriate signs are erected giving notice thereof, vehicular traffic <br /> approaching said intersections from any direction, shall stop and after having stopped, shall yield the <br /> right-of-way to any vehicle which has entered the intersections from another direction or which is <br /> approaching so closely on the roadway as to constitute an immediate hazard during the time when said <br /> vehicle is moving across or within the intersections, and thereafter having so stopped and so yielded, <br /> may proceed at such time as a safe interval occurs. <br /> Section 3. That any person, firm or corporation who shall violate any of the provisions of this <br /> ordinance shall, upon conviction, be fined not less than Ten Dollars ($10.00) nor more than Two <br /> Hundred Dollars ($200.00) for each offense. <br /> Section 4. That the provisions of all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with the <br /> provisions of this ordinance insofaz as the same are in conflict with said provisions be, and the same <br /> are hereby,repealed. <br />
