COIIiJNITY DEVELOPMENT iMORANDUM
NO. 98-106 '
September 10, 1998
MEMO TO: Honorable Mayor Terry M. Howley and City Council Members
FROM: James L. Williams, Jr., City Manager
Cecil A. Collins, Jr., Community Developrent Director .
Teresa Townsend, Acting Senior Planner
SUBJECT: Annexation of premises commonly known as 22 Sullivan Drive.
A valid petition requesting annexation of the subject premises has been hled with the City Clerk's
Office. Containing .62 acres, the area in question is presendy developed with a single family
residence.
The following data has been compiled relative to the proposed annexation:
l. An existing 6 inch watermain is locaxed in Sullivan Drive adjacent to the
subject lots, service is readily available.
2. The existing dwellings are served by individual sepric systems; the nearest
sanitary sewer is located in Florian Court at Florian Avenue.
' 3. Additional annual revenue of approximately $480.94 would become
available from the combined total of real estate, motor fuel, and state
income taxes.
Staff is of the opinion that the proposed annexation would produce a logical extension of the
corporate limits; staff recommends approval of the petition as presented.
