prosecute and fine such person for said violation sooner than ten (10) days after such citation is <br /> issued, and no complaint may be filed if the citation is timely paid. <br /> C. The City Treasurer may accept payment of a citation issued hereunder after the ten <br /> day period provided for herein, and upon such acceptance no prosecution for the cited violation <br /> may be filed or pursued by the City. <br /> 3. PENALTY. Any person, firm or corporation or other entity that violates any <br /> provision hereof, or any provision contained in the Code adopted by reference hereby shall upon <br /> conviction be fined not to exceed Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) for each offense and each day <br /> a violation occurs or continues shall be considered a separate offense. <br />
