• ' Chapter 47 <br /> registration fee for the animal for the current registration period along with an application for <br /> such duplicate registration tag and the payment of a fee equivalent to the City's cost for the <br /> duplicate tag. <br /> (AMENDED BY ORDINANCE NO. 89-42, May 1, 1989) <br /> 22. TAG WORN. Each registered animal sha11 be provided by the owner with a suitable <br /> collaz or harness to which the registration tag for that animal shall be securely attached. Both <br /> collaz or harness and registration tag shall be worn by such animals at all times. Any dog or cat <br /> found within the City, whether running at large or otherwise, without a registration tag thereon 'i <br /> sha11 be impounded as herein provided. �'� <br /> 23. NON-TRANSFERRABLE. Neither registration certificates nor registration tags ��� <br /> shall be transferable. There shall be no refund for any reason of registration fee. I <br /> 24. IMPOUNDMENT. Animals taken up under the foregoing provisions hereof shall <br /> be impounded in some suitable place provided by the City by contract or otherwise. <br /> 25. ANIMAL BITING ANY PERSON OR SUFFERING RABIES. <br /> A. When the owner of any dog or other animal knows of or has been notified that such <br /> dog or other animal has bitten or has so injured any person as to cause an abrasion of the skin of <br /> such person, or is suffering from rabies, he shall forthwith deliver said dog or animal to a police <br /> officer or any person duly authorized by the City to enforce this Chapter within 24 hours, <br /> whereupon said dog or animal shall be securely confined for a period of ten (10) days under the <br /> observation of a licensed veterinarian. <br /> Upon appeazance of any symptoms of rabies, said dog or other animal shall be confined <br /> until death and then its head shall be removed in such a manner as not to injure the brain and <br />
