CONIMUNITY DEVELOPMENT MEMORANDUM
NO. 98-85
July 22, 1998
MEMO TO: Honorable Mayo Terry M. Howley and City Council Members
FROM: James L. Willia ,/Jr., City Manager
Cecil A. Collins r., Community Development Director
Teresa Townsend, Acting Senior Planner -n,T
SUBJECT: Annexation of premises commonly known as 69 South Shores Drive
A valid petition requesting annexation of the subject premises has been filed with the City Clerk's
Office. Containing 1.16 acres, the area in question is a one lot single family dwelling.
The following data has been compiled relative to the proposed annexation:
1. An esting 12 inch watermain is located in adjacent to the
subject lot, service is readily available.
2. The esting dwelling is served by an individual septic system; the nearest
sanitary sewer is located in South Shores Drive within 50 feet of the subject lot.
3. Additional annual revenue of approximately $302.77 would become
available from the combined total of real estate, motor fuel, and state
income taxes.
Staff is of the opinion that the proposed annexation would produce a logical extension of the
corporate limits; we recommend approval of the petition as presented.
