Ratekin, Assistant City Engineer�� <br /> SUBJECT: City Ordinance Revision <br /> Chapter 34 - Traffic <br /> An item on the agenda for the City Council Meeting to be held on June 1, 1998, is an <br /> ordinance revisin� Chapter 34 of the existing City Code. The revision to the code will allow the <br /> Police Department to tow any vehicle parked on public right-of-way within a construction zone. <br /> The Engineering Division has encountered problems in the past several years with cars being <br /> parked on streets that are being resurfaced or maintained causing delays in the construction <br /> activities. <br /> City staff will be present to answer questions of the Council. <br /> Attach: <br /> cc: John Couter, Corporate Counsel <br /> Michael Mowen, Police Chief <br /> Stephen P. Swanson, City Engineer <br />
