a • <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 98-03 <br /> ORDINANCE AMENDING CITY CODE <br /> - CHAPTER 13 - <br /> - POLICE DEPARTMENT - <br /> BE IT ORDAINED, BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, <br /> ILLINOIS: <br /> Section 1. That Chapter 13 of the City Code of the City of Decatur be, and the same is hereby <br /> modified and amended at Section 7 thereof, so that said Section 7, as modified and amended shall <br /> provide as follows: <br /> 7. QUALIFICATIONS AND LIMITATIONS ON DUTIES. <br /> Such auxiliary policemen shall not be members of the regular police <br /> department of the City and shall not supplement members of the regular <br /> police department in the performance of their assigned and normal <br /> duties except as otherwise provided in this chapter or as provided by <br /> applicable statute. Auxiliary policemen shall reside within the <br /> corporate limits of Macon County and within fifteen (15) miles of the <br /> corporate limits of the City of Decatur. The uniforms and identification <br /> symbols worn by such auxiliary policemen shall be different and I <br /> distinct from those worn and used by members of the regular police �I <br /> department which uniforms and symbols shall be selected by the Police <br /> Chief. Auxiliary policemen shall at all times during the performance of <br /> their duties be subject to the direction and control of the Police Chief. <br /> Section 2. That the City Clerk be, and she is hereby, authorized and directed to cause the <br /> provisions hereof to be appropriately set out in the City Code and to cause the same to be published <br /> in pamphlet form according to law. <br />
