, ORDINANCE NO. 97-81 ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING CONSUMPTION OF ALCOHOLIC LIQUOR IN CENTRAL PARK DOWNTOWN DECATUR COUNCIL WHEREAS, the Downtown Decatur Council has planned its annual "Arts In Central Park" event scheduled for Saturday, September 20, and Sunday, September 21, 1997; and, WHEREAS, it is the intention of the Downtown Decatur Council to offer beer and wine for sale to its patrons for consumption at this event; and, WHEREAS, such consumption of alcoholic liquor in Central Park requires the express approval of the City Council; and, WHEREAS, the Council finds that it would be in the best interest of the Downtown Decatur Council and of the City of Decatur that such consumption of alcoholic liquor as described be permitted for said limited time period. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS: Section 1. That on the days listed herein, and only on such days, between the hours listed opposite each, only those alcoholic beverages listed below may be consumed in Central Park located in downtown Decatur, said days and hours being particularly described as follows: Saturday, September 20 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Beer and Wine Only Sunday, September 21 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Beer and Wine Only Section 2. That no alcoholic beverage may be consumed as provided herein unless such alcoholic beverage is in a plastic or paper cup.
