Miller and Robin G. Miller requesting <br /> that there be annexed to the City territory described as: <br /> The East 144 feet of the West 288.44 feet of the following described tract: <br /> Commencing 15 feet West of the Northeast corner of the Southwest <br /> Quarter of the Southwest Quarter of Section 8, Township 16 North, Range <br /> 2 East of the 3rd P.M.; thence South 200 feet; thence West 436.44 feet; <br /> thence North 200 feet; thence East 436.44 feet to the place of beginning; <br /> and, <br /> WHEREAS, it appears said petition is signed by the owners of record of all land within <br /> such territory and by at least 51% of the electors residing therein, and that said territory is <br /> contiguous to the City and not within the corporate limits of any city, village or incorporated <br /> town or other municipality; and, . <br /> - WHEREAS, notice of intention to take action for annexation has been given as required. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br /> OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS: <br /> Section 1. That said petition and the request thereof be, and the same are hereby, <br /> approved. <br />
