v <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 97-59 ' <br /> ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING CONSUMPTION OF ALCOHOLIC <br /> LIQUOR ON PUBLIC RIGHT-OF-WAY AND <br /> IN CENTRAL PARK <br /> DECATUR CELEBRATION <br /> WHEREAS, The Decatur Celebration, a community summer festival of games, shows I <br /> and food, will be held on the public streets and in Central Park in downtown Decatur beginning I <br /> Friday, August 1, 1997, and continuing through Sunday, August 3, 1997; and, ' <br /> WHEREAS, it is the intention of the Decatur Celebration to offer the following alcoholic I <br /> beverages: Bartels and James wine coolers, White Zinfindel, Chardonnay, Hornsby Dark, � <br /> Hornsby Dry, Hornsby Original, Miller Lite, Budweiser, Bud Light and Bud Ice for sale to its ', <br /> patrons for consumption at the Celebration; and, II <br /> WHEREAS, such consumption of alcoholic liquor on public rights-of-way and in Central <br /> Park requires the express approval of the City Council; and, � <br /> WHEREAS, the Council finds that it would be in the best interest of the Decatur I� <br /> Celebration and of the City of Decatur that such consumption of alcoholic liquor as described be <br /> permitted for said limited time period. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br /> OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS: <br /> Section 1. That on the days listed herein, and only on such days, between the hours listed <br /> opposite each, the above named alcoholic beverages only may be consumed at, in or on those <br /> portions of public rights-of-way described in Section 2 hereof, and in Central Park located in <br /> downtown Decatur, said days and hours being particularly described as follows: <br /> Friday, August 1, 1997 5:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m. <br /> Saturday, August 2, 1997 12:00 Noon - 11:00 p.m. <br /> Sunday, August 3, 1997 12:00 Noon- 9:30 p.m. <br />
