Neweil, P.E., Traffic Engineer�3�� <br /> SUBJECT: Ordinance Authorizing the Establishment of a Stop Sign at the <br /> Intersection of Union Street and Kenwood Avenue <br /> At the February meeting of the Traffic and Parking Commission, the Commission <br /> approved a request from Decatur Memorial Hospital to recommend the installation of a stop sign <br /> on the southeast corner of the intersection of Union Street and Kenwood Avenue facing Union <br /> Street. <br /> Union Street, between Kenwood and McKinley, was recently vacated and sold to Decatur <br /> Memorial Hospital. DMH stated their intention to install a stop sign on the north side of the <br /> intersection for southbound Union Street traffic. It was requested that the City install a stop sign <br /> on the south side of the intersection for north bound traffic, to alleviate any confusion that may <br /> arise. City staff is in agreement with this action. <br /> Staff will be present to answer any questions the Council may have. <br /> attach: 2 <br />
