. �c�y. ,. y . . . , r� , ORDINANCE NO. 97-12 ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING DATE FOR PUBLIC HEARING TAX INCREMENT FINANCING REDEVELOPMENT DISTRICT WHEREAS, the statutes of the State of Illinois by the "Tax Increment Allocation Redevelopment Act", 65 II,CS 5/11-74.4-5, as amended, hereinafter referred to as the "Act", provide for municipalities to create within their corporate boundaries tax increment financing redevelopment areas; and, WHEREAS, the City of Decatur, Macon County, Illinois has determined that the stable economic and physical development of certain areas within the City are endangered by the presence of blighting and conservation factors as described in said Act; and, WHEREAS, according to Section 11-74.4-5 (65 ILCS 5/11-74.4-5) of the Act, the City Council shall inform each taxing district which levies a t�within the Redevelopment Project Area by certified mail of the date and time of the Public Hearing; and, WHEREAS, according to Section 11-74.4-5 (65 II,CS 5/11-74.4-5) of the Act, the City Council must cause a Public Hearing to be held relative to the Redevelopment Plan and Redevelopment Project and a designation of a Redevelopment Project Area. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, BY THE CITY COUNCII, OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, II.LINOIS: Section 1. That the Public Hearing for the Tax Increment Financing Redevelopment District be held at 6:30 P.M. on April 14, 1997, at the City Council Chambers in the Decatur Civic Center located at#1 Ga.ry K.
