<br /> ORDINANCE AMENDING CITY CODE
<br /> - CHAPTER 7 -
<br /> - OFFICERS AND EMPLOYEES GENERALLY-
<br /> BE IT ORDAINED, BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR,
<br /> ILLINOIS:
<br /> Section 1. That Section 2 of Chapter 7 of the City Code of the City of Decatur, Illinois,
<br /> be, and the same is hereby, modified and amended, so that said Section 2, as so modified and
<br /> amended, shall provide as follows:
<br /> 2. APPOINTMENT AND REMOVAL. The City Manager shall
<br /> have the power and authority to appoint and remove at will the Assistant
<br /> City Manager, all directors of departments, fire marshals, battalion chiefs,
<br /> police personnel above the rank of sergeant, administrative assistants,
<br /> chiefs and heads of divisions, executive and administrative secretaries,
<br /> members of the Legal Department, Personnel Specialists, Training Officer,
<br /> Budget and Technology Analysts, Human Relations Specialists, Senior
<br /> Systems Analyst, Mainframe Systems Analyst, Systems Analyst, Risk
<br /> Management Assistant, Street and Sewer Maintenance Supervisor,
<br /> Assistant City Engineer, Fleet Supervisor, Plant Maintenance Supervisor,
<br /> Chief Drafter, CAD System Coordinator, Lake Maintenance Supervisor,
<br /> Distribution Maintenance Supervisor, Water Meter Service Supervisor,
<br /> Traffic Control Supervisor, City Forester, Foreman, Building Inspections
<br /> Supervisor, Planners, Senior Planner, Transportation Planner,
<br /> Environmental Planner, Senior Crime Analyst, Crime Analyst, Emergency
<br /> Communications Supervisors, Neighborhood Renewal Administrator,
<br /> Neighborhood Standards Administrator, Neighborhood Program Specialist,
<br /> Outreach Specialists and Temporary and seasonal employees.
