, � <br /> 4 <br /> extended west of Lot One (11 in Block Six (6) of said <br /> Crowder & Cornthwait ' s Addition to the place of begin- <br /> ning. <br /> 6 . Petitioner submits that the public interest would be <br /> served by the vacation of said stub street and alleys extending <br /> therefrom for the following reasons : <br /> (a) Petitioner is the owner of the premises north and <br /> south of said portion of east olive street and the <br /> premises east and west of those portions of the <br /> alleys extending north and south therefrom and <br /> vacation of said public ways would assist in lim- <br /> iting disruption of Petitioner' s business and <br /> promote security of the area involved by allowing <br /> Petitioner to install a security fence in an at- <br /> tempt to prevent vandalism to vehicles and person- <br /> - al property of Petitioner and its employees which <br /> has occurred in the past; <br /> (b) The alley extending north of said stub street has <br /> continually been a dumping ground for trash, gar- <br /> bage, tires and other refuse by unknown persons <br /> disrupting Petitioner' s efforts to maintain its <br /> abutting premises in a neat and clean condition <br /> and Petitioner has incurred costs and expenditure <br /> of time to remove such items of refuse; <br /> (c) The public would benefit by relief from further <br /> burden and responsibility of maintaining said stub <br /> street and alleys proposed to be vacated; and <br /> (d) Other alleys and streets in this area of the City <br /> of Decatur have been previously vacated, for exam- <br /> ple, Ordinance No. 5822 passed June 18, 1973 , and <br /> recorded at Book 1775, Page 324 of the Records of <br /> the Recorder� s Office of Macon County, Illinois <br /> (vacating a portion of east Division Street west <br /> from north Illinois Street approximately 166 ' and <br /> alleys extending north and south therefrom) , and <br /> Ordinance No. 1316 , passed June 25, 1936 and re- <br /> corded at Book 748, Page 253 of the Records of the <br /> Recorder' s Office of Macon County, Illinois (va- , <br /> cating a portion of east Olive Street and alleys <br /> contained within Blocks One (1) and Two (2) of <br /> Albright ' s Addition) . Further vacation of the <br /> stub of east Olive Street and alleys extending <br /> therefrom which Petitioner proposes to be vacated <br /> is consistent with past planning of the City of <br />
