Richards and Fern Richards requesting vacation by the City Council of the 500 block of North Witt Street, said portion of said street being more particularly described as follows: Beginning at the northeast corner of Lot 16, Block 4 of Rolling Mill Addition, as per Plat recorded in Book 39 Page 47 of the records in the Recorder's Office of Macon County, Illinois; thence easterly for a distance of 60 feet to the northwest corner of Lot 11, Block 3 of said Rolling M'ill ' Addition; thence southerly for a distance of 150 feet along the west ', property line of said Lot 11; thence westerly for a distance of 60 feet to the � southeast corner of Lot 16, Block 4 of said Rolling Mill Addition; thence northerly for a distance of 150 feet along the east property line of said Lot 16 to the point of beginning; and, WHEREAS, said portion of said street is no longer useful to the public or to the City; and, VVF�REAS, the public interest will be subserved by vacating said portion of said street and the public will be relieved from any further burden or responsibility for maintaining said portion of said street. NOW, TI�REFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF TI� CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS: Section l. That the above described portion of said street be, and the same is hereby, vacated as a public street inasmuch as the same is no longer required for public use and the public interest will be subserved by such vacation, said portion of said street being shown on the plat thereof hereto attached and hereby made a part hereof.
