McQueen, Senior Planner SUBJECT: Automotive Storage Yard, 2930 North Woodford Street A request for land use approval to allow an automotive storage yard facility at 2930 North Woodford Street is scheduled for review and action by the City Council on Monday July l, 1996. The area in question is presently zoned M-2 Heavy Industrial and is vacant. Adjoining properties on all sides are likewise zoned M-2 Heavy Industrial. In accordance with applicable provisions of said M-2 District, an automotive storage yard (defined in Zoning Ordinance # 3512)is a permitted use therein provided the individual site is approved by the City Council after review and report by the Building Inspector and Fire Chief; these individuals have both reviewed the proposal and find it acceptable. Recognizing the general zoning patterns as noted and the pro�mity of similar land uses to the west across Woodford Street and to the south along the east side of the 2500-2700 blocks of North Woodford Street, staff is of the opinion the proposed use is acceptable at this location; we recommend approval of the proposed ordinance as presented.
