ORDINANCE NO. 96-41 ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING PURCHASE OF REAL PROPERTY - 1006, 1010, 1018 AND 1020 NORTH WATER STREET AND 200. 226 AND 228 EAST ORCHARD STREET- BE IT ORDAINED,BY TI�CITY COUNCII.OF TI-�CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS: Section l. That the offer of The First National Bank of Decatur, as Trustee of the Will of Otis Chumbley, and Anne M. Chumbley to sell the property described below to the City of Decatur for the price of Eighty Thousand Dollars ($80,000) be, and the same is hereby, received, placed on file and approved. Said property being legally described as follows: � Lots Seventeen (17) and Eighteen (18) of Block Six (6) of Higgins Addition as per Plat recorded in Book 97 Page 115 of the records in the Recorder's Office of Macon County, Illinois, AND Lot Nineteen (19) in Block Six(6) of H'iggins Addition as per Plat recorded in Book 50 Page 386 of the records in the Recorder's Office of Macon County, Illinois, EXCEPT that portion conveyed to the State of Illinois for use of Department of Public Works and Buildings by Warranty Deed dated May 1, 1966 and recorded in Book 1566 Page 592 of the records in the Recorder's Office of Macon County, Illinois, Section 2. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to sign the Ageement submitted herewith, on behalf of the City, for the purchase of said property as therein provided. Section 3. That upon the performance of the conditions stated in said Agreement, the City Manager be, and he is hereby, further authorized and directed to cause the consideration stated herein to be paid to the above-noted grantors in exchange for a deed or deeds conveying title to said property to the City.
