� �M Ix►n� i llliqilr I . .� �ac�n Gc�w�r � � � ' + � , 143'714� '��`�"�.�,`"'°`�'°�` �� , �o�.xd�c —_ q•�n Arr � � - � c J U L �- 8 1996 I�' BG�K � �� -�'�� V ORDINANCE NO. 96-40 M ��Cdr��c� ;rd �a+�K 2661 p�_ 366 ' ��,�QF�1. . �.��.,� ,� � �y��. � — ��-oo r�� Recobor AN ORDINANCE VACATING A PORTION OF STREETS -NORTH LJNION STREET - -NORTH EDWARD STREET - WI-�REAS, a request has been received from Decatur Memorial Hospital requesting vacation by the City Council of a portion of North Union Street located between the North right-of-way line of Kenwood Avenue to the South right-of-way line of McKinley Avenue, and a portion of North Edward Street, from the north right-of-way line of Hay Street to a point 226.26 feet north thereof, said portions of streets legally described as follows: Vacation of North Union Street: Beginning at a point 30 feet East of and 30 feet South of the Northwest corner of the Northeast 1/4 of the Southeast 1/4 of Section 3, Township 16, Range 2 East of the 3rd P.M., said point also being the intersection of the South ROW line of McKinley Avenue and the East ROW line of North Union Street, thence South 30 feet East of and para11e1 to the West line of the Northeast 1/4 of the , Southeast 1/4 of said Section 3, Township 16, Range 2 East of the 3rd ' P.M. to the North ROW line of Kenwood Avenue, thence West 60 feet to the West ROW line of North Union Street, thence North and 30 feet West ', of and parallel to the East line of the Northwest 1/4 of the Southeast 1/4 of said Section 3, Township 16, Range 2 East of the 3rd P.M. the South ROW line of McKinley Avenue, thence East 60 feet to the point of ' beginning. ', Vacation of North Edward Street: Beginning at the Northwest corner of '� Lot 2 of Brueck & Akers Addition as per Plat recorded in Book 149 Page 25 of the records in the Recorder's Office of Macon County, Illinois, thence �, South on the East ROW line of North Edward Street to the Southwest I corner of Lot 11 of said Addition, thence West 60 feet to the West ROW �' line of North Edwazd Street, thence North to the Northeast corner of Lot � 1, Block 5 of May Brothers & Traver's Subdivision as per Plat recorded in I� Book 22, Page 588 of the records in the Recorder's O�ce of Macon ' County, Illinois, thence East to the point of beginning; and, WHEREAS, said portions of said streets are no longer useful to the public or to the City; I and, WHEREAS, the public interest will be subserved by vacating said portions of said streets and the public will be relieved from any further burden or responsibility for maintaining said portions of said streets.
