�, . <br /> ORDINANCE N0. 96-24 <br /> ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING TEMPORARY CLOSURE <br /> OF A PORTION OF WEST MACON STREET AND <br /> PLACEMENT OF BARRIERS AT WEST MACON AND CREA STREETS <br /> BE IT ORDAINED, BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS: <br /> Section 1. That the Director of Public Works be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to <br /> cause a portion of West Macon Street to be temporarily closed from the east right-of-way line of <br /> Oakland Avenue to a point approximately 225 feet east thereof. <br /> Section 2. That the Director of Public Works be, and he is hereby, further authorized and <br /> directed to cause barriers to be placed at the intersection of West Macon and Crea Streets from the <br /> northwest corner to the southeast corner of said intersection so as to prevent vehicular movement <br /> through said intersection. <br /> Section 3. That during the time that said closure is in effect, and said barriers are erected, it <br /> shall be prohibited to drive a vehicle over or through said barriers or upon the closed portion of said <br /> street. <br /> Section 4. That any person, firm or corporation who shall violate any of the provisions of this <br /> ordinance shall, upon conviction, be fined not less than Ten Dollars ($10.00) nor more than Two <br /> Hundred Dollars ($200.00) for each offense. <br /> Section 5. That the provisions of al( ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with the <br /> provisions of this ordinance insofar as the same are in conflict with said provisions be, and they same <br /> are hereby, repealed. <br /> PRESFNTED, PASSED, APPROVED AND RECORDED this 6th day of May, 1996. <br /> ��e,��, �...�_ <br /> TERRY .
