The distiriguishing fieatures include the <br /> scrollwork at the top of the front erdrance and the glass panels that are installed on <br /> each side and above the door. <br /> The corbel brackets below the soffrts w�e most likely atso installed at the <br /> time af the 1885 addition. <br /> The front stairs are unique. They have been insblled using a 'suspended' <br /> design where there are no supports to the floor abng the length of the stair run. A <br /> large wa{nut newel post complimerits the curved walnut handrail. The e�osed <br /> stringer is fimmed with'gingerbread'-type woociworic <br /> All of the door and window casings in the 1885 additian are very etaborate. <br /> The doon�rays are designed with mrnrable glass transoms above tfie doors. <br /> Window casings are extre wide and are construded very close to the ftoor, gnnng <br /> the addition a very formal look. <br /> Terry A.
