ORDINANCE NO. 9G-22 <br /> ORDINANCE AUTHORiZING CONSLIMPTION OF <br /> ALCOHOLiC LIQUOR IN CENTRAL PARK <br /> DECATUR-MACON COUNTY SENiOR CENTER/ <br /> DOWNTOWN DECATUR COLINCIL <br /> WHEREAS, The Decatur-Macon County Senior Center and the Downtown Decatur <br /> Council have planned the "Jammin In The Woods" event scheduled for Thursday, May 9, 1996; <br /> and, <br /> WHEREAS, it is the intention of the Decatur-Macon County Senior Center and the <br /> Downtown Decatur Council to offer alcoholic beverages for sale to its patrons for consumption at <br /> this event; and, <br /> WHEREAS, such consumption of alcoholic liquor in Central Park requires the express <br /> approval of the City Council; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the Council finds that it wouid be in the best interest of the Decatur-Macon <br /> County Senior Center, the Downtown Decatur Council and of the City of Decatur that such <br /> consumption of alcoholic liquor as described be permitted for 5aid limited time period. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br /> OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS: <br /> Section l. That on the day listed herein, and only on such day, between the hours listed <br /> opposite each, only those alcoholic beverages listed below may be consumed in Central Park <br /> located in downtown Decatur, said day and hour being particularly described as follows: <br /> "Jammin In Thursday, May 9 1 1:00 a.m.- 10:00 p.m. Beer and Zima <br /> The Woods" Only <br /> Section 2. That no alcoholic beverage may be consumed as pi-ovided herein unless such <br /> alcoholic beverage is in a plastic or paper cup. <br /> Section 3.
