Schroll and others requesting vacation by the City Council of a portion of Northern Drive located lying west of Greenridge Drive, said portion of said street being more particularly described as follows: Beginning at the northeast corner of Lot 43 of Greenridge Addition to the City of Decatur, as per Plat recorded in Book 958, Page 70 of the records in the Recorder's Office of Macon County, Illinois; thence westerly along the north lot line of said Lot 43 for a distance of 299.5 feet to the northwest corner of said Lot 43; thence northerly 30 feet to a point on the south lot line of Lot 5 of Greenridge 2nd Addition to the City of Decatur, as per Plat recorded in Book 300 Page 163 of the records in the Recorder's Office of Macon County, Illinois; thence easterly along the south lot lines of Lots 5, 3 and 1 of said Greenridge 2nd Addition for a distance of 299.5 feet to the southeast corner of Lot 1 of said Greenridge 2nd Addition, thence southerly for a distance of 30 feet to the place of beginning; and, WHEREAS, said portion of said street is no longer useful to the public or to the City; and, WHEREAS, the public interest will be subserved by vacating said portion of said street and the public will be relieved from any further burden or responsibility for maintaining said portion of said street. NOW, TI�REFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, BY THE CI i Y CO�iNCIi, GF TI�E CITY OF DECATUR, II,LINOIS: Section l. That the above described portion of said street be, and the same is hereby, vacated as a public street inasmuch as the same is no longer required for public use and the public interest will be subserved by such vacation, said portion of said street being shown on the plat thereof hereto attached and hereby made a part hereof. Section 2. That there is hereby reserved in, over, along and under the above-described portion of said alley to the City of Decatur, Illinois, and to the public and to those utilities and companies as the case may be owning public service facilities, mains, sewers, telephone and electric or other public utilities, such property, rights of way and easements as are or may be necessary or desirable for continuing public service by means of such facilities and for the
