ORDINANCE NO. 96-04 <br /> ORDINANCE AMENDING CITY CODE <br /> - CHAPTER 34 - <br /> - TRAFFIC - <br /> BE IT ORDAINED, BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, <br /> ILLINOIS: <br /> Section 1. That paragraphs 28(D) through 28(G) of Chapter 34 of the City Code of the <br /> City of Decatur be, and the same are hereby redesignated as paragraphs 28(E) through 28(H) <br /> respectively of said City Code. <br /> Section 2. That Section 28(C) of Chapter 34 of the City Code of the City of Decatur, <br /> Illinois, be, and the same is hereby, redesignated as Section 28(D), and further modified and <br /> amended, so that said Section as amended shall provide as follows: <br /> D. Any person found guilty of violating the provisions of <br /> this Section shall be fined Two Hundred Dollars ($200.00) in <br /> addition to any costs or charges connected with the removal or <br /> storage of any motor vehicle as authorized by law or ordinance. <br /> Section 3. That Section 28 of said Chapter 34 of the City Code of the City of Decatur, <br /> Illinois, be, and the same is hereby, modified and amended, by adding a new Section 28(C) <br /> thereto, said Section 28(C)to provide as follows: <br /> (C) It is hereby prohibited to park any motor vehicle within <br /> the boundaries of the area or space directly adjacent to a properly <br /> designated handicapped parking space, provided said adjacent area <br /> or space is clearly designated by markings on the pavement or <br /> otherwise, as an area reserved for the exclusive use of the occupant <br /> of the adjacent handicapped parking space. <br /> Section 4. That Section 55 of said Chapter 34 of the City Code of the City of Decatur, <br /> Illinois, be, and the same is hereby, modified and amended, by designating the cunent language in <br /> Section 55 as 55 A., and by adding to said Section 55 a new paragraph B. Said new paragraph B <br /> shall provide as follows: <br /> B. Every Neighborhood Service Officer for the City of <br /> Decatur shall have the authority enumerated in the foregoing <br /> paragraph. <br />
