Bacon, Jr. , City Manager
George C. Weaver, Community Development Director
(-bert A. McQueen, Senior Planner
SUBJECT: Annexation of premises commonly known as 1041
North Sunnyside Road
A valid petition requesting annexation of the subject
premises has been filed with the City Clerk' s Office. The
area in question contains 5 . 7 acres and is presently
developed with a single family dwelling. The reason for
requesting annexation is to obtain City water to serve the
existing dwelling.
The following data has been compiled relative to the
proposed annexation:
1. An existing watermain is adjacent to the premises
along Sunnyside Road; service is readily
available.
2 . An existing sanitary sewer extending through this
tract will provide service to the same.
3 . Sunnyside Road adjacent to this tract is presently
within the corporate limits.
4 . Additional annual revenue of approximately $400.00
would become available from the combined total of
real estate, motor fuel, and state income taxes.
The Richland Heights residential subdivision to the east
across Sunnyside Road is presently within the corporate
limits as are other individual residential tracts along the
west side thereof. Staff recognizes this petition as
producing a logical extension of the existing limits; we
recommend approval of the petition as presented.
