PRAIRIE AND E. WILLIAM ST. - � l..� ..� � WHEREAS, a request has been received from Midstate Core Company, owner of property abutting thereon, requesting the vacation by the City Council of a portion of an alley in the City of Decatur, Illinois described as: Beginning at the Southeast corner of Lot 7 Block 2 of B. H. Cassell's Addi*io� as per Dlat recordec? in Book � page 148 of the records in the Recorder's Office of Macon County, Illinois, thence South to the Northeast corner of Block 3 of said Addition, thence West on the North line of said Block 3 for a distance of 120 feet, thence North to the Southwest corner of Lot 5 of said addition, thence East to the point of beginning; and, WHEREAS, said portion of said alley is no longer useful to the publ�c or to the City or to the owner of the property abutting thereon as an alley; and, WHEREAS, the public interest will be subserved by vacating said portion of said alley and the public will be relieved from the further burden and responsibility of maintaining the same. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS: Section l. That the above described portion of said alley be, and the same is hereby, vacated as a public alley inasmuch as the same is no longer reqt..ired for public use and the public interest will be subserved by such vacation, said portion of said alley being shown on the plat thereof hereto attached and hereby made a part hereof. Section 2. That there is hereby reserved in, over, along and under the above-described portion of said alley to the City of Decatur, Illinois, and to the public and to those utilities and companies as the case may be owning public service facilities, mains, sewers, telephone and electric ar other public utilities, such property, rights of way and easements as are or may be necessary or desirable for continuing public service by means of such facilities and for the maintenance, renewal and reconstruction thereof with the right of ingress and egress for such purposes.
