. t r ORDINANCE NO. �� ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING CONSUMPTION OF ALCOHOLIC LIQUOR ON PUBLIC RIGHT-OF-WAY - OAKWOOD BUSINESS ASSOCIATION- WHEREAS, The Oakwood Business Association, in conjunction with Millikin University, will be conducting a Fall Family Weekend Street Festival; and, WI�REAS, it is the intention of the The Oakwood Business Association to offer beer only to its patrons for consumption at the Fall Family Weekend Street Festival; and, WHEREAS, such consumption of alcoholic liquor on public rights-of-way requires the express approval of the City Council; and, WHEREAS, the Council finds that it would be in the best interest of The Oakwood Business Association and of the City of Decatur that such consumption of alcoholic liquor as described be permitted for said limited time period. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, BY THE CITY COLTNCII. OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS: Section 1. That on the day listed herein, and only on such day, between the hours listed, beer only may be consumed at, in or on those portions of public rights-of-way described in Section 2 hereof, said day and hours being particularly described as follows: Saturday, October 7, 1995 11:00 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. Section 2. That those portions of public rights-of-way at, in, or on which beer may be consumed, on the day and during the hours listed in Section 1 hereof, are described as follows: Oakland Avenue between West Main and West Wood Streets Section 3. That between the hours of 11:00 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., Saturday, October 7, 1995, no person, firm or corporation having a Class A, B or C local liquor license issued pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 52 of the City Code and 235 ILCS 5/1-1 et. seq., for premises having frontage on those streets, or portions thereof, listed in Section 2 hereof, as established by the Zoning Ordinance, shall sell alcoholic liquor at retail for consumption on or off said premises at any location on said premises except from within a permanent structure located thereon and in existence on the date hereof.
