. t r <br /> ORDINANCE NO. ���� <br /> ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING CONSUMPTION OF ALCOHOLIC <br /> LIQUOR ON PUBLIC RIGHT-OF-WAY <br /> - OAKWOOD BUSINESS ASSOCIATION- <br /> WHEREAS, The Oakwood Business Association, in conjunction with Millikin University, <br /> will be conducting a Fall Family Weekend Street Festival; and, <br /> WI�REAS, it is the intention of the The Oakwood Business Association to offer beer <br /> only to its patrons for consumption at the Fall Family Weekend Street Festival; and, <br /> WHEREAS, such consumption of alcoholic liquor on public rights-of-way requires the <br /> express approval of the City Council; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the Council finds that it would be in the best interest of The Oakwood <br /> Business Association and of the City of Decatur that such consumption of alcoholic liquor as <br /> described be permitted for said limited time period. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, BY THE CITY COLTNCII. OF THE CITY <br /> OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS: <br /> Section 1. That on the day listed herein, and only on such day, between the hours listed, <br /> beer only may be consumed at, in or on those portions of public rights-of-way described in <br /> Section 2 hereof, said day and hours being particularly described as follows: <br /> Saturday, October 7, 1995 11:00 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. <br /> Section 2. That those portions of public rights-of-way at, in, or on which beer may be <br /> consumed, on the day and during the hours listed in Section 1 hereof, are described as follows: <br /> Oakland Avenue between West Main and West Wood Streets <br /> Section 3. That between the hours of 11:00 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., Saturday, October 7, <br /> 1995, no person, firm or corporation having a Class A, B or C local liquor license issued <br /> pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 52 of the City Code and 235 ILCS 5/1-1 et. seq., for <br /> premises having frontage on those streets, or portions thereof, listed in Section 2 hereof, as <br /> established by the Zoning Ordinance, shall sell alcoholic liquor at retail for consumption on or off <br /> said premises at any location on said premises except from within a permanent structure located <br /> thereon and in existence on the date hereof. <br />
