� .r <br /> ORDINANCE NO. �5 —3 �-_ <br /> ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING CONSUMPTION OF ALCOHOLIC <br /> LIQti OR ON PUBLIC RIGHT-OF-WAY AND <br /> IN CENTRAL PARK <br /> DECATUR CELEBRATION <br /> WHEREAS, The Decatur Celebration, a community summer festival of games, shows and <br /> food, will be held on the public streets and in Central Park in downtown Decatur begimning <br /> Friday, August 4, 1995, and continuing through Sunday, August 6, 1995; and, <br /> WHEREAS, it is the intention of the Decatur Celebration to offer beer, wine and wine <br /> coolers for sale to its patrons for consumption at the Celebration; and, <br /> WI�REAS, such consumption of alcoholic liquor on public rights-of-way and in Central <br /> Park requires the express approval of the City Council; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the Council finds that it would be in the best interest of the Decatur <br /> Celebration and of the City of Decatur that such consumption of alcoholic liquor as described be <br /> permitted for said limited time period. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br /> OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS: <br /> Section l. That on the days listed herein, and only on such days, between the hours listed <br /> opposite each, beer, wine and wine coolers only may be consumed at, in ar on those portions of <br /> public rights-of-way described in Section 2 hereo� and in Central Park located in downtown <br /> Decatur, said days and hours being particularly described as follows: <br /> Friday,August 4, 1995 5:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m. <br /> Saturday, August 5, 1995 12:00 Noon- 11:00 p.m <br /> Sunday, August 6, 1995 12:00 Noon- 9:30 p.m <br /> Section 2. That those portions of public rights-of-way at, in, or on which beer, wine and <br /> wine coolers may be consumed, on the days and during the hours listed in Section 1 hereo� are <br /> described as follows: <br /> North Merchant Street between East Main Street and East Prairie Street; <br /> North Water Street between East Wood Street and East North Street; <br /> North Franklin Street between East Main Street and East Eldorado Street; <br /> South Park Street between North Water Street and North Franklin Street; <br />
