. � <br /> .� � _: <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 95-09 <br /> ORDINANCE AMENDING CITY CODE <br /> - CHAPTER 34 - <br /> - TRAFFIC - <br /> BE IT ORDAINED, BY THE CITY COLTNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, <br /> ILLINOIS: <br /> Section 1. That Section 56 of Chapter 34 of the City Code of the City of Decatur, Illinois, <br /> be, and the same is hereby, modified and amended, so that said Section 56 shall provide as <br /> follows: <br /> 56. HOLIDAYS. Those days designated holidays upon <br /> which parking meter regulations shall not be enforced and the <br /> operation of the Motor Vehicle Parking System Garages shall be <br /> suspended, and for said purposes only, are hereby defined and <br /> designated as New Year's Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, <br /> Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day <br /> and Christmas Day; provided that, if any such holiday shall occur <br /> on a Saturday such regulations shall not be enforced on the <br /> immediately preceding Friday, and if any such holiday shall occur <br /> on a Sunday such regulations shall not be enforced on the <br /> immediately succeeding Monday. <br /> Section 2. That the City Clerk be, and she is hereby, authorized and directed to cause <br /> the provisions hereof to be appropriately set out in the City Code and to cause the same to be <br /> published in pamphlet form according to law. <br /> Section 3. The City Manager is hereby directed and authorized to refund to any person <br /> any fine and costs, or other penalty or settlement, paid by such person, whether voluntarily or <br /> pursuant to court order, for any violation of Section 42 of said Chapter 34 which occurred on '� <br /> December 26, 1994, or January 2 or January 16, 1995. <br />
