System Board approved the new agreement on December 6, 2000. The revised agreement is ' <br />� presented to the Decatur City Council for their approval and ratification. This agreement provides , <br />' for a financial commitment from the ETSB for computers, software, phone equipment as well as <br /> sta.ffing reimbursement, saving the City of Decatur a substantial amount of money. <br /> MAJOR CHANGES: , <br /> The most critical of changes involves `DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF ETSB,' <br /> Section III, paragraph N. This change is regarding the reimbursement of the staffing costs that <br /> was found to be invalid in the original agreement. <br /> The ori inal a reement s ecified the followin : II� <br /> � � � <br /> Year 1 (1999) 1 supervisor i <br /> Year 2 (2000) 1 supervisor and 1 dispatcher '�, <br /> Year 3 (2001) 1 supervisor and 2 dispatchers il <br /> Year 4 (2002) 1 supervisor and 3 dispatchers <br /> The revised agreement specifies: 'I <br /> Year 1 (2001) 1 supervisor and 2 dispatchers (dispatchers to begin on May 1,2001 or <br /> when the E9-1-1 circuits are installed, which ever comes first). <br /> Year 2 (2002) 1 supervisor and 3 dispatchers <br /> Year 3 (2003) 1 supervisor and 4 dispatchers <br /> Year 4 (and there after) 1 supervisor and 5 dispatchers <br /> This represents a major cost saving for the City of Decatur. <br /> Recommendation: It is the recommendation of staff that the revised agreement with the <br /> Macon County Emergency Telephone System Board be approved. <br />
