parties agree that it is in the best interest of the citizens of Macon County that neither will <br /> terminate any part of their performance under this Agreement to provide Enhanced 9-1-1 service <br />, until the parties agree upon a date when the ETSB can assume the responsibility for Enhanced <br />' 9-1-1 service and the City can fulfill its obligations for Emergency Communications. <br /> II <br /> DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF CITY <br /> A. The City agrees to abide by and adhere to the Emergency Telephone System Act <br /> (50 ILCS Section 750 et. seq.); <br /> B. The City agrees to abide by and adhere to Title 83, Public Utilities-Chapter 1: <br /> I Illinois Commerce Commission-Sub-Cha ter F: Tele hone Utilities-Part 725 Standards <br /> P P � <br /> of Service applicable to 9-1-1 Emergency Systems); <br /> C. The City agrees to abide by Emergency Telephone System Standard Operating <br />, Procedures which are mutually established and amended from time to time by the ETSB <br /> and the Chief of Police for the City or his designated representative as outlined in Section <br /> V -POLICIES AND PROCEDURES of this Agreement; <br /> D. The City agrees to allow unscheduled access to the E9-1-1 equipment owned and <br /> maintained by the ETSB to ETSB Staff and the Vendor(s) selected by the ETSB to install <br /> and maintain said E9-1-1 equipment; <br /> E. The City agrees that the E9-1-1 equipment purchased by ETSB and installed at the <br /> PSAP shall remain the property of the ETSB; <br /> F. The City agrees that representatives of the ETSB or the Vendors(s) selected by the <br /> ESTB, shall be the only personnel authorized to maintain, modify, move or change the <br /> configuration of the E9-1-1 equipment owned and maintained by the ETSB and installed <br /> at the PSAP without the written permission of the ETSB, except as defined by policies <br /> agreed to by the City and the ETSB as outlined in Section V -POLICIES AND <br /> PROCEDURES; <br /> G. The City agrees to provide for the administration of the PSAP, to provide for <br /> PSAP operations on a 24-hour a day basis, and to staffthe PSAP with Emergency <br /> Communications Specialists (Telecommunicators) whose training meets the standards <br /> established mutually by the ETSB and the City ; <br /> H. The City agrees, through its Lease Agreement with the Decatur Public Building <br /> Commission, to provide an alternate power source (generator) and an uninterruptable � <br /> power source for the E9-1-1 equipment, for the testing of this alternate power source on a <br /> monthly basis as established by the policies of the Decatur Building Commission and the i, <br /> suppliers of said equipment, and for the maintenance of said equipment in good working <br /> 2 ' <br />
