f ' <br /> procedures that enhance the operation of the PSAP and that policies and procedures <br /> implemented within the Communication Center shall be submitted to the ETSB for its <br /> review. Such policies and procedures will become binding on the parties hereto upon <br /> approval by the Chief of Police for the City(or designated representative) and by the <br /> ETSB. The ETSB acknowledges the management rights of the City to implement and <br /> enforce policies and procedures on its employees as granted by law and by its agreement <br /> with any recognized labor union. <br /> VI <br /> MAINTENANCE OF EQUIPMENT <br /> A. In exchange for access to the recording systems for E 9-1-1 calls and in <br /> recognition that the City has purchased, installed and maintained the recording system <br /> currently in use, the ETSB agrees to pay the expenses of repair, enhancement and <br /> replacement of said recording equipment as required to ensure the accurate recording of <br /> all E 9-1-1 telephone calls. <br /> B. The City shall be responsible for the payment of maintenance fees for any e�sting <br /> telephone equipment currently installed in the Decatur Police Emergency Communication <br /> Center which remains in place after the transition to Enhanced 9-1-1 service. The ETSB <br /> shall be responsible for any telephone equipment that is purchased or mstalled as part of <br /> the implementation of Enhanced 9-1-1 service. '� <br /> C. The ETSB shall be responsible for the maintenance and upgrade of any � <br /> computerized hardware or software which is installed by the ETSB as part of the <br /> transition to E9-1-1 service, including but not limited to, any computers, monitors, <br /> networking equipment and software installed in the Macon County PSAP or back up <br /> PSAP not owned and maintained by the City on the date of this agreement. <br /> VII <br /> MODIFICATIONS <br /> Any modifications, amendments, changes, insertions or deletions to this Agreement must <br /> be done in writing with the consent of and executed by the parties to this Agreement. <br /> VIII <br /> BINDING EFFECT <br /> This Agreement shall be binding upon and inure to the benefit of the parties, their <br /> successors and assigns. This Agreement and the duties and responsibilities defined herein may not <br /> be transferred or assigned to another individual or entity without the express written consent of <br /> the parties hereto. <br /> 8 <br />
