R2000-250 <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AGREEMENT WITH <br /> ILLINOIS DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION <br /> FOR INSTALLATION OF TRAFFIC SIGNALS <br /> ILLINOIS ROUTE 48 AT ROCK SPRINGS ROAD <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Decatur has entered into an Agreement with the State of Illinois <br /> for the installation of Traffic Signals at the intersection of Illinois Route 48 with Rocks Springs <br /> Road,known as State Section 127TS; and <br /> WHEREAS, in compliance with the aforementioned Agreement, it is necessary for the <br /> City of Decatur to appropriate sufficient funds to pay its share of the cost of said improvements. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> DECATUR, ILLINOIS: <br /> Section 1. That there is hereby appropriated the sum of Eighteen thousand six hundred <br /> and eighty-seven dollars and fifty cents ($18,687.50) or so much thereof as may be necessary, <br /> from any money now or hereinafter allotted to the Ciry to pay for its share of the cost of this <br /> improvement as described in the Agreement. <br /> Section 2. That upon award of the contract for this improvement, the City will pay the <br /> Department of Transportation of the State of Illinois in a luxnp sum from any funds allotted to the <br /> City, an amount equal to 95% of its obligation incurred under this Agreement, and will pay to the <br /> said Department the remainder of the obligation (including any non-participation costs of FAP <br /> projects) in a lump sum,upon completion of the project based upon final costs. <br /> Section 3. That the Mayor and City Clerk be, and they are hereby, authorized and <br /> directed to sign, seal and attest said agreements on behalf of the City. <br /> Seation 4.
